Stimming( short for tone- stimulating geste ) refers to repetitious behaviours. The most egregious behaviours we associate with autism are rocking, hand flopping, reiteration of words or expressions, and rocking or spinning. still, women with autism may display other stimming behaviours similar as skin selecting, bases rubbing, pacing, or hair twirling. People with autism tend to stim further than other people and may not be apprehensive of their behaviours. It’s allowed that stimming is a tone- regulation tool.
